Food Safety Awards

FACET provides food safety training in the UK. The legislation in the UK dictates that food safety training is essential for managers and employees involved in food handling*.  All of our trainers are experienced food safety training professionals with up to date knowledge in Food Safety. The following courses are Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) approved and we work with you in the understanding and implementation of this.

Food Safety Course Level 1 (CIEH) – The new CIEH Level 1 Awareness in Food Safety awards are run as half-day courses flexible hours including evenings, nights and weekends for a range of domestic and commercial employees with minimal or no prior food safety knowledge, employees handling low-risk or wrapped food or those who work front of house, such as seminar/conference facilitators, waiting or check out staff, as well as back of house such as kitchen porters or warehouse staff.

Food Safety Course Level 2 (CIEH) – In response to recent requests from clients, we are pleased to provide this course at a time and venue convenient to your organisation. Courses reflect the syllabuses and requirements of the awarding and accrediting body the CIEH. We offer theoretical knowledge and practical sessions designed to address the food safety and hygiene needs of the catering, manufacturing and retail sectors

*A food handler is defined as any person involved in food business that handles or prepares food.

As an arm of the charity, FACET Training runs an accredited qualification  in: CIEH Level 1 Award Food Safety Awareness Catering and Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering. We have achieved over 95% students’ success since 2008
